Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor and morning reporter on WCBD TV. The work of O'Dell on the streets of Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases resulted in being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell later worked at NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. Additionally, she is co-anchor for Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She has covered such events as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of Pre-ShowArrivals shows for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Also, she co-hosted Miss USA's pageant as in addition to the Miss Universe Pageant.
